The responsibility for circuit and local church records lies with the circuit superintendent ministers. The District Archivist works with the circuits and record offices to coordinate the deposit of records and deal with related queries. The records of circuits in the Leeds Methodist District are deposited at the North Yorkshire County Record Office, Northallerton, and the West Yorkshire Archive Service's offices at Leeds and Wakefield. The District Archivist does not hold any records.

New and popular books from the Methodist Publishing House's catalogue are available for purchase at both the Spring and Autumn Synods. These include not only official Methodist Church publications and books from MPH and Epworth Press but also a selection from other religious publishers such as SPCK, Wild Goose (Iona) and Lion. Profits from sales (over £100 per year) are given to the District Training Fund.
If there is a particular title you want to purchase or inspect, contact
John Summerwill at least a month before Synod and he will order it for you.
A bookstall can usually be arranged for other district and circuit events,
such as quiet days and study days. Books are obtained from the Methodist
Publishing House, or the SPCK Bookshop, on a sale-or-return basis as
required. Contact John Summerwill well in advance of your event to discuss
your needs.
