New Leeds District Evangelism Enabler post for 2005
In 2004 the Leeds District Synod approved the appointment of a District Evangelism Enabler. That appointment is now made and we will welcome Revd Beverly Hollings to our District in September. Beverly is originally from Huddersfield and will be living in a manse in the Wakefield Circuit. At present she is in the Cornwall District, lliving in St Agnes. Her welcome service will be on September 3rd at Hunslet Methodist Church at 7.30 pm and the preacher will be Revd Steve Wild, Director of Evangelism at Cliff College.

Beverly's task will be threefold:
1 Promoting the priority of evangelism
2 Developing evangelism strategies in circuits and local churches
3 Equipping circuits and local churches for mission

The Synod approved a Management Committee to oversee the work of the DEE.
District Mission in Britain Officer Alistair Newton says, 'This is an exciting opportunity to promote evangelism throughout the District. We trust and pray that Bev will encourage us in our task of sharing the gospel and making disciples of Jesus Christ.'
